Britannia 2 readies UK filming
As Production Intelligence subscribers were the first to know, a second series of Britannia is in the pipeline readying for a UK shoot.
The drama is now in active pre-production with shoot dates and locations listed on Production Intelligence. Also listed are the names of key HoDs including the line producer, production manager and production co-ordinator.
The second series has been written by Jez, Tom and John-Henry Butterworth and will be produced by Rupert Ryle-Hodges. It comes from Vertigo Films and Neal Street Productions for Sky Atlantic.
Britannia 2 is one of many dramas currently in pre-production in the UK – others include Stephen Poliakoff’s Summer of Rockets, Sally Wainwright’s Gentleman Jack and supernatural spy thriller The Rook.
