Sex Education to film for Netflix
A new comedy drama for Netflix is now in pre-production with filming due to take place in south Wales.
Sex Education comes from Eleven Film and tells the story of Otis Thompson, a socially awkward high-school virgin who lives with his sex-therapist mother.
Laurie Nunn has written the coming-of-age comedy drama with Ben Taylor (a veteran of Channel 4 comedy Catastrophe) set to direct.
Taylor also executive produces alongside Eleven Film’s Joel Wilson and Jamie Campbell.

Netflix’s production presence in the UK is growing, with The Crown having set a new bar for high-end drama budgets.
The streaming giant is also currently in production in the UK on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and has several projects in development including a third series of The Crown, the Jason Statham crime drama Viva La Madness and Paris-set musical drama The Eddy.
