Milo Gibson filming in UK
Mel Gibson’s actor son Milo has begun filming Hurricane, a World War Two feature about the Polish pilots who fought alongside the RAF during the Battle of Britain. The cast includes Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon, Stefanie Martini, Kristof Haadek and Marcin Dorocinksi.
Gibson made his feature debut in Hacksaw Ridge, directed by his father, in 2016. He was in the UK earlier this year for another feature, All the Devil’s Men.
Screen first reported on Hurricane, which will be directed by David Blair, whose TV credits include Reg and The Suspicions of Mr Whycher. The producers are Matt Whyte and Krystian Kozlowski, with the five-week shoot taking place in and around the London area.
Spencer Pollard of distributors Kaleidoscope said previously: “We fell in love with the script from the very beginning... The crew who fought in the Battle of Britain were heroes and their story will make sensational viewing on the big screen globally.”
