Filming begins in London on Monday on ITV”s Trauma, starring Adrian Lester and John Simm.

The three-part psychological thriller is from Doctor Foster creator Mike Bartlett and is from newly-formed Tall Story Pictures, the ITV Studios label founded last year by Catherine Oldfield and Francis Hopkinson. Marc Evans (Hinterland, Safe House) directs.

Trauma was first listed on Production Intelligence in October last year; we have since returned to update with key HoDs including the line producer and location manager.

The drama centres on the lives of two fathers, Dan Bowker (Simm) and Jon Allerton (Lester), whose lives collide when Dan”s 15 year-old son Alex is stabbed and tragically dies in the trauma department attended by high-achieving consultant Allerton.

Trauma is one of a tranche of dramas announced last autumn at the start of Polly Hill”s tenure as head of drama at ITV. The other projects confirmed at the same time include Girlfriends from Kay Mellor, White Dragon and Next of Kin.
