Black Mirror Series 4 gears up
Pre-production is underway on the fourth series of Black Mirror, with filming due to begin next month.
Series 3 - which comprises six episodes - is due to start streaming from 21 October, marking the switch to Netflix from Channel 4, the original home of the show which explores the dark side of contemporary society’s obsession with technology.
When the show first launched in December 2011, its creator Charlie Brooker was credited with reviving the idea of the anthology series, each episode containing different characters, settings and storylines but with a central theme.
In July 2014, together with former Zeppotron MD Annabel Jones, Brooker set up House of Tomorrow, a production company within Endemol UK. The following year the announcement was made that the dystopian drama would make the move to the on-demand streaming giant.
PI subscribers can log in for production details on the fourth series, including the studio and names of the production co-ordinator, production manager and producer.
Production Intelligence currently has listings for more than 7,800 projects, of which 120 are in pre-production. To request a free demo, click here.
