Filming underway on My Name is Lenny
Filming has begun on biopic My Name is Lenny, with the four-week shoot based at 3 Mills Studios in east London.
The feature explores the life of Lenny McLean, one of Britain’s most notorious bare-knuckle fighters also known as ‘The Guv’nor’.
Australian actor Josh Helman (pictured, Wayward Pines, X-Men: Days of Future Past; X-Men: Apocalypse; Mad Max: Fury Road) plays Lenny, with support from Chanel Cresswell, Michael Gambon and Rita Tushingham.
The feature comes from Nick Taussig and Paul Van Carter’s shingle Salon Pictures; the pair produce alongside Michael Mendelsohn and McLean’s son Jamie.
Ron Scalpello directs from a screenplay by Van Carter and Martin Askew. Shooting runs until mid-September at the studio, currently also home to the third series of E!’s The Royals starring Elizabeth Hurley.
