ITV Encore to film Wagstaffe
ITV Encore has commissioned a feature-length pilot for a new contemporary cop drama called Wagstaffe.
The show is based on the books by crime author Adam Creed, which centre on DI Will Wagstaffe, known as ‘Staffe’, a London detective who has suffered terrible personal tragedy with the murder of his parents.
Seasoned TV scribe Chris Lang, writer of dramas such as The Tunnel, A Mother’s Son and the critically-acclaimed Unforgotten, has penned the screenplay.
The two-hour pilot is to be made in-house by ITV Studios and is set to film in the capital this summer. On PI are details of shoot dates along with the names of the executive producer, producer and casting director. A line producer is also attached, the name to be published in a couple of weeks, so PI subscribers should make sure they are following the project for updates.
