Christina Hendricks feature to film in Wales
Christina Hendricks and Emily Watson lead a starry cast on period feature The Angel Makers, now set to shoot in Wales and Belgium this autumn.
Set during the First World War, the darkly comic feature centres on a group of women left behind in a rural farming community in Yorkshire, who become involved with German POWs. Abbie Cornish, Rose Leslie, Max Riemelt and David Kross are also on board.
Jon Amiel directs from a screenplay by Paul Billing.
The location news comes after a new co-production deal was struck between UK company The Producers and Umedia in Belgium, with Jeanna Polley and Martin Metz producing for each shingle respectively.
We first detailed the project on Production Intelligence back in September last year; all new updates will be available for subscribers from 9 April. A line producer and casting director are to be confirmed very soon, so make sure you’re following the project on PI for email updates as names and dates are locked down.
There are currently 368 film and TV projects in development on PI; non-subscribers can click here for a free demo, during which they will be shown remotely around the site.
