Ryan Reynolds readies to film in UK
Pre-production is now underway in the UK on The Hitman’s Bodyguard starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson and Gary Oldman.
The film revolves around a top protection agent (Reynolds), whose new client – a hitman – turns out to be an old adversary. The pair must work together in a race against time with just 24 hours to reach The Hague.
Jeff Wadlow of Kick-Ass 2 fame is at the helm to direct, working from a screenplay by Tom O’Connor. Filming will also take in the Netherlands and Bulgaria, but subscribers to Production Intelligence can log in for details on the UK studio being used, along with crucial hires such as the line producer, location manager, producers and production designer.
LA-based Millennium Films is behind the project – the company is well-versed in shooting in the UK, with recent credits including Criminal, London Has Fallen, Survivor and Good People all having filmed on these shores.
We first confirmed the project back in early November on PI; the site currently has over 100 projects in pre-production. Click here for a free demo in which you will be shown remotely around the site.
