BBC One returns to Rillington Place
The infamous killings that took place at 10 Rillington Place are to be retold in a shiny new three-parter for BBC One.
Simply called Rillington Place, the drama will examine the case of notorious serial killer John Christie (famously portrayed on the big screen by Richard Attenborough in 1971) in which at least eight women were murdered by strangling at Christie’s home in west London; among the victims was his wife Ethel, whose body was found underneath the floorboards.
The murders took place in the mid-1940s to early-1950s, with Christie eventually hanged in 1953.
Shooting takes place in Scotland in the spring; subscribers to Production Intelligence can log in for more details on the drama, including the co-production company, producer, executive producer and line producer.
