Gemma Arterton feature to shoot late spring
A late spring shoot is currently on the cards for Like a Virgin, a new feature starring Gemma Arterton.
The project marks the directorial debut from actor Catherine Shepherd (Paddington) who has also written the screenplay, and comes from London-based Fly Film.
Kate Ogborn produces, working alongside executive producer and co-founder of Fly, Lisa Marie Russo. The film centres on Mary (Arterton) who, while inebriated from a big night out, has a visitation from the Angel Gabriel, who announces that she has been chosen to give birth to the new Messiah and thus save the world…
Arterton is currently around halfway through an eight-week shoot on Their Finest Hour and a Half, which has been filming in locations including east London, Swansea and Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire.
Subscribers can follow Like a Virgin on PI from 21 October, with updates on crucial hires including the line producer and casting director.
