In the Club 2 prepares to film in autumn
The second series of Kay Mellor's BBC One drama about women at various stages of pregnancy is nearly in pre-production with a view to shooting in the autumn.
The production office for the 6 x 60 drama will once again be based at a studio in Leeds, with location shooting in and around the city. Mellor has become somewhat of a poster girl for the area; born in Leeds, she still lives there and in 2000 set up Rollem Productions to produce Fat Friends.
Since then, the writer and director has enjoyed considerable success with various dramas, including three series of The Syndicate; A Passionate Woman and two series of The Chase, all of which were filmed in the north west.
