Production Finance Market: Call for entries

film londonFilm London is calling for applicants for its Production Finance Market (PFM), an international event targeting producers with projects over €1m looking to pitch to international financiers.

Taking place on 15 - 16 October, the event will run alongside Film London Micro Market (supported by Creative Skillset's Film Skills Fund), which connects filmmakers with financiers looking for projects under €1m.

So far the PFM has helped at least 50 projects into production, and has opened the door for producers looking to secure direct finance and sales and distribution deals.

Adrian Wootton, chief executive of Film London and the British Film Commission said: "As the UK's only finance market, I am proud the PFM has become a well respected fixture on the international film industry calendar. The format works and is effective, so it is hugely gratifying to combine that with our expertise in the micro-budget arena to deliver something really valuable for the UK's emerging talent. To ensure we meet the industry's needs, we constantly evolve to address changes in the global market place.

"Demand for the inaugural Micro Market, and its resulting success stories, demonstrate this is filling a real gap for our domestic filmmakers. While with PFM continues to create and cultivate international financing relationships, particularly for projects between €3m-10m, which are struggling to get made."

Deadline for applications is 7 July. For further details on how to apply, click here.
