Gordon Ramsay is back to the rescue

GORDON RAMSAYPrepare for another barrage of expletives from Gordon Ramsay as Channel 4 has commissioned a new series where the fiery chef aims to help failing businesses abroad.

Optomen's 4 x 60 Costa Del Nightmares will see Ramsay visit ex-pats who are struggling to cope with running their restaurants, B&B's and guesthouses.

The TV chef is no stranger to this type of format, having previously fronted Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and a US version of the show for the Fox network. Each episode features Ramsay trying to turn around a troubled restaurant, which regularly leaves the gastronome unleashing his trademark tirade of colourful language, often as a result of a clash with the business owner.

Ramsay said: "Running a business can be tough and it can be a real nightmare when you are far from home and you feel like your dreams are being shattered. I am really looking forward to getting stuck in to this new challenge and taking the series into Europe."

Costa Del Nightmares will begin production in the spring; the commissioning editor for the series is Liam Humphreys.

Ramsay's contract with Channel 4 runs out later this year.
