BBC One launches new Olympic magazine series
Gabby Logan is to present Inspire: The Olympic Journey, a new BBC One Olympic magazine series. Featuring the biggest names from the Olympics, the series will aim to encourage sports participation across the nation.
Airing monthly on Saturday afternoons, the series will take a look at various sports and the characters behind the Olympics, Paralympics and Commonwealth Games.
The first show will broadcast from the Commonwealth Games site in Glasgow on 27 July, exactly one year after the Olympics opening ceremony.
Commenting on the series, Barbara Slater, director of BBC Sport, said: "London 2012 was a once-in-a-lifetime event that inspired the nation and provided the ideal opportunity for us to harness an unparallelled enthusiasm for sports. I'm delighted that Gabby Logan - one of our most popular presenters - will present Inspire: The Olympic Journey, continuing our ongoing commitment to Olympic and Commonwealth sports.”
