Zombies return to BBC Three
A new run of the supernatural drama In The Flesh has been commissioned for BBC Three.
The green light comes on the heels of a critically acclaimed three part run which aired earlier this year, and centred on the inhabitants of Roarton, thousands of whom were ‘re-animated’ having died in 2009 after an unexplained incident.
The writer and creator, Dominic Mitchell, was discovered through the BBC Writersroom scheme, Northern Voices, and said of the commission: “I am absolutely delighted and thrilled to be given this fantastic opportunity to continue exploring the characters and world of In the Flesh.
The drama comes from BBC Drama Production North and executive producers Hilary Martin and Annie Harrison-Baxter. Filming will take place later this year.
