From PI: Origin Pictures eyeing a summer shoot on X + Y
The team at Origin Pictures are gearing up for a late July start on X + Y, a drama about Nathan, a teenage maths prodigy. The rites of passage story follows Nathan’s journey to the International Mathematics Olympiad.
The feature is directed by Morgan Matthews from a screenplay by James Graham, and stars Asa Butterfield. The film is based on Matthews’ BAFTA-nominated documentary Beautiful Young Minds.
The producers are David Thompson, Ed Rubin and Derrin Schlesinger and the line producer is Sarah-Jane Wheale. Pre-production gets underway in late May.
