Applications are now open for Connecting the Docs, a series of workshops aimed at documentary-makers in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Organised by Sheffield Doc/Fest and Crossover Labs, in partnership with Creative Skillset, the training and networking event will cover areas such as funding models and growing an audience.

The workshops will last three days and aim to:

• Join the dots between the disparate disciplines that together make for successful production, funding and exploitation strategies
• Help participants to develop skills of self-sufficiency and entrepreneurialism
• Understand the practical deployment of digital and convergent technology for creative and financial development
• Reach wide and committed participatory audiences and communities.

The three workshops will take place on the following dates:

• Tuesday 13 – Thursday 15 August in Glasgow
• Tuesday 1 – Thursday 3 October in Belfast
• Tuesday 3 – Thursday 5 December in Cardiff
