Dan Stevens to star in new film version of Swallows and Amazons
The Downton Abbey actor will play Captain Flint in Harbour Pictures’ feature, which is being produced with BBC Films.
The film is adapted by Andrea Gibb from Arthur Ransome’s much loved classic, which follows the Walker and Blackett children over one idyllic summer in the Lake District in 1929.
Nick Barton (Calendar Girls) produces for Harbour Pictures, while brothers Tom and Charles Guard direct. Shooting is currently slated to get underway in mid-July.
