CBBC gives Blue Peter The X Factor treatment
So You Think You Can Be a Blue Peter Presenter (w/t) will see the next hopeful Blue Peter presenter compete in a series of challenges in order to win the hosting job. Hosted by Dick and Dom, the series will be produced by the Salford based in-house CBBC team.
The search is a first for the iconic children’s series, which was first broadcast in 1968. Previously, a new presenter was revealed on their debut show – this time the lucky hopefuls’ fate will be in the hands of the CBBC audience.
Joining Dick and Dom (Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood) will be a panel of judges, who will decide which hopefuls make it through the early elimination stages.
Online interaction will also play a part in the show, giving people the chance to vote for one of the challenges that the candidates will have to undertake before filming starts.
