Peppa Pig triumphs at the BAFTA Children's Awards

Peppa Pig, Horrible Histories and Justin Fletcher were amongst the winners at the BAFTA Children’s Awards last night, which took place at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

The ever popular Peppa Pig won the pre-school animation award, whilst Horrible Histories walked away with the BAFTA for comedy, beating the likes of 4 O’Clock Club, Diddy Moves and Sorry I’ve Got No Head.

Justin Fletcher picked up the award for best presenter for his role in presenting Something Special, making it his third BAFTA in his career. His show Justin’s House also picked up the pre-school live action award.

Music show Friday Download (currently in production for series 4) won in the entertainment category, whilst My Life: Me, My Dad and His Kidney won best factual.

Wind in the Willows creator Brian Cosgrove was given the special award, in recognition for four decades for his contribution to the industry.
