ITV Studios sells Channel 4’s The Audience to Canada
ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has signed a new international export deal for format The Audience, created by indie The Garden for Channel 4. The deal will see the show remade in Canada by Force Four Entertainment for W Network.
This deal follows the launch of The Audience in Denmark, produced by Blu. The Audience is also in production by ITV Studios France for TF1 and has been licensed by RTL4 in the Netherlands.


Commenting, Tobi de Graaff, Director of Global Television Distribution, ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said: “The Garden has devised a fantastic global format with The Audience. This latest deal demonstrates that there is growing appetite for the format and we look forward to securing further deals worldwide.”

And if Come Dine With Me Canada is any indication of the potential success, we will see The Audience become a new network hit as well.”


In each episode, The Audience meets someone with a life-changing decision to make. To answer their dilemma, they open up their life to The Audience – 50 people of diverse age and backgrounds who follow them for a week, and try to solve the protagonist”s problem.
