Tiger Aspect appoints new MD from in-house team

Indie producer Tiger Aspect’s head of comedy, Sophie Clarke-Jervoise, has been appointed as managing director.

It’s the first time the role has been filled since Andrew Zein left two years ago to join Warner Brothers International TV.

Clarke-Jervoise, who joined Tiger Aspect in 2005, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be leading such a hugely successful creative company. Tiger Aspect has been part of my DNA for many years and I’m looking forward to working across all areas of the business - making Tiger a ‘one-stop-shop’ for talent - and continuing to deliver unmissable programming.”

Endemol-owned Tiger Aspect produces factual and drama as well as comedies like Benidorm and The Vicar of Dibley. Under Clarke-Jervoise, the aim is to take advantage of Endemol’s global reach by developing international formats.

Clarke-Jervoise, a former BBC executive, takes up her new role immediately and will report to Endemol group president Tim Hincks and UK chief executive Lucas Church. A new head of comedy will be appointed in the near future.
