The UK Screen Association has confirmed Sarah Mackey as its CEO.

Mackey, who has been involved with the organisation previously as a board member and most recently as Acting CEO, replaces Gaynor Davenport with effect from July 1st.

Mackey has been involved in the facilities industry for over a decade and was most recently Director of Strategy at BBC Studios and Post Production, where she represented the company on the boards of 3sixtymedia and UK Screen.

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Norris, Chairman of UK Screen said: “The entire board was delighted to be able to secure someone of Sarah's experience and ability to work on behalf of the whole sector. We all look forward to taking on the challenges of the coming year with her at the helm.”

UK Screen, which represents companies providing production services to film, TV and commercial production, is working closely with government and other industry bodies in areas such as the high-end TV tax relief, state aid, immigration policy, skills and UK film strategy. Over the last year it has also contributed to the work of the Digital Production Partnership, enabling broadcasters to access expertise and feedback on new file-based delivery standards and digital workflow issues.
