Pre-production Begins On BBC's The Village: From Production Intelligence
A major new six parter from the BBC, The Village, begins preproduction at the end of the month.
Set in Derbyshire it is from the pen of Peter Moffat (Silk, Criminal Justice etc) and is described as ‘an epic and emotional story of 20th century Britain’.
Destined for BBC One, the drama is seen through the eyes of resident centenarian Bert Middleton, with the narrative running from his boyhood to old age, and the camera never leaving the village.
George Faber exec produces for Company Pictures alongside Polly Hill for the BBC.
