Jana Bennett, president of BBC Worldwide Networks, is to leave the company as part of a reorganisation that will see BBC Worldwide's five global divisions reorganised into seven geographical regions.

Brought in to oversee the global roll-out of the BBC iPlayer, Bennett also introduced BBC-branded channel services around the world. Commenting on her departure, she said: "I am delighted to have grown the BBC's international channel portfolio at a time when global markets are so competitive and to have brought quality British programmes and events to new audiences around the world. I would like to thank the teams I have worked with and wish all the best to an exceptional organisation, while I look forward to bringing my experience to another area of international media."

She will leave in the late autumn.
