BBC1 Turns To Hartswood For Comedy Series: Me & Mrs Jones

BBC One Controller Danny Cohen and Cheryl Taylor, Controller Comedy Commissioning have announced plans for a new comedy series from Hartswood Films called Me & Mrs Jones, a new comedy series from Hartswood Films.

Created and written by Oriane Messina and Fay Rusling (Green Wing, Campus) and produced by Serena Cullen (Rules Of Love), the series follows the life of Mrs Jones (Sarah Alexander) as she balances love, affection, sex and motherhood between an ex-husband, grown-up son, two daughters and male admirers.

Commenting on the commission, executive producer Beryl Vertue said: “Producing comedy for the BBC is something we have done with pride for many years and I am delighted we are back on BBC One with a new series. Hartswood Films has long been a creative hub for comedy, and it is a genuine pleasure to be working with the talented team behind Me & Mrs. Jones.” Filmed on location and at Teddington Studios, production on Me & Mrs Jones will begin on the 21 May 2012.
