RTS Unveils Craft Awards Shortlists

The Royal Television Society has announced the shortlists for the RTS Craft & Design Awards 2010/2011. This year’s awards consists of 22 categories and recognises the wide variety of skills and processes involved in production, from costume design and digital effects to editing and lighting.

Leading the pack this year in terms of nominations is Come Fly With Me, produced for BBC One by Little Britain Productions/BBC Productions, which is shortlisted in four categories: Music – Original Title, Graphic Design – Titles, Make Up Design – Entertainment and Non Drama Productions and Costume Design – Entertainment and Non Drama Productions. Origin Pictures/Cité Amérique’s The Crimson Petal and The White – a psychological thriller set in Victorian London – is shortlisted for three awards; Costume Design – Drama, Make Up Design – Drama and Production Design – Drama.

Danny Hargreaves – Coronation Street – Tram Crash, Real SFX for ITV Studios for ITV1

Ed Smith, Colin Gorry Effects – The Shadow Line, Company/Eight Rooks/Baby Cow in association with CinemaNX and Isle Of Man Films for BBC Two.
