Films at 59 Has A Bright Idea

  • News

Bristol-based Post Production house Films at 59 has just finished working with UK Systems Company XTFX to put Autodesk Flame Premium and a Bright Technologies BrightDrive server at the heart of its Stereo3D workflow.

This investment establishes Films at 59 as the only 2K S3D house west of London - setting the company up for a push into high quality finishing and Stereo3D post for broadcast, movies and corporate markets.

According to Bright, BrightDrive's advanced file management technology enables content creators to achieve significant cost-savings from their workflows by maximising system performance levels, even when the throughput of data is at its highest. It also optimises the way media is recorded onto disk thereby reducing data randomisation.

The decision to select the above configuration came after a year spent researching workflows and technology for 3D Stereoscopic post-production and VFX. "We work with some of finest craft and production talent in the industry,” says Operations Manager Stuart Dyer. “In selecting Autodesk Flame and Bright we know that we have the best available in craft and technology to serve our client needs.”
