Channel 4 Orders New Runs of Undercover Boss, Four in a Bed
Channel 4 has announced that it is to air a fourth series of Studio Lambert’s hit business entertainment format Undercover Boss. There was further good news for Studio Lambert with C4’s decision to commission 60 new episodes of its daytime production Four in a Bed.
Undercover Boss, which has performed well both as a format and a completed show all around the world, attracted an average of 3 million viewers for C4 across its last series. Commenting, C4 Factual Entertainment Commissioning Editor, Dominique Walker, said: "The last series delivered some of the strongest episodes we've ever made. It combines genuinely jaw-dropping revelations of bad practice while rewarding the unsung employees beavering away in every business."
Four in a Bed, in which four sets of B&B owners compete to see which one provides the best value for money, averaged just under 2 million in the 5pm slot. Helen Warner, who ordered the new batch of 60 episodes, said: "Four in a Bed is a star of the daytime schedule and we look forward to its return."
Like Undercover Boss, Four in a Bed is securing international format deals too. It is managed by All3Media International, the distribution arm of Studio Lambert’s parent group.
