Writing team confirmed on Ralph And Katie

Creator and lead writer of Ralph And Katie, Peter Bowker has revealed the writers who will work alongside him on the new BBC One series, a spin-off of The A Word that focuses on Ralph (Leon Harrop) and Katie (Sarah Gordy), the well-loved characters from The A Word.
The new and emerging disabled writers, who have all been chosen in partnership with BBC Writersroom, are: Amy Trigg; Annalisa Dinnella; Genevieve Barr; Tom Wentworth and Lizzie Watson.
Bowker said: “It is genuinely exciting to be collaborating with these five writers who have already written startlingly new and engaging work. We have already started to work together to build the series and the one thing that is clear to me is that I am going to have to up my game!”
Anne Edyvean, Head of BBC Writersroom, added: “We”re delighted to see these five talented writers gain broadcast credits on Ralph And Katie, and can”t wait to see their episodes brought to life on screen.”

Co-produced for BBC One by ITV Studios and Keshet Productions in association with Tiger Aspect, Ralph And Katie (6 x 30”) tells the continuing story of Ralph and Katie, with each 30-minute episode featuring a different story focusing on the domestic challenges faced by the newlyweds – challenges faced by all newlyweds, but with the added fact that they have Down”s syndrome. Filming will begin later this year.
Ralph And Katie is executive produced by Bowker, Spence, Howard Burch (Keshet Productions) and Lucy Richer (BBC), alongside Avi Nir (Keshet Media Group), and Keren Margalit.
