UK location managers recognised at inaugural awards

The awards recognised the work of location managers, scouts, studio managers and unit managers
The first UK Location Managers Awards have recognised the work of location professionals and teams from across film, TV and commercials.
Held on Sat, 4 October at St George’s Hall in Liverpool – a much-filmed venue that has appeared in productions including Peaky Blinders and Batman – and hosted by Adam Rowe, the event lauded the work of location managers, scouts, studio managers and unit managers, as well as recognising the agencies, film commissions and suppliers that support them.
The Location Managers Awards UK is a non-profit initiative, founded by a volunteer committee.

Producer and volunteer event chair Georgette Turner, whose career in locations spans 20 years, said: “Our aim was to shine a light on the extraordinary contribution of location professionals – the ones who turn creative vision into reality, the response from across the industry has been overwhelming, and the award winners reflect the depth of talent, innovation and passion driving UK production forward. We cannot wait to get started on organising next year’s event.”
