Cameras are rolling in the UK on the family dramedy

Trudie Styler is in the director’s chair on Rose’s Baby, a new feature now filming in the UK starring Antonio Banderas, Eva Birthistle, Úrsula Corberó, Arinzé Kene, Richard E. Grant and Forest Whitaker.

The romantic family ‘dramedy’ is from Maven Screen Media, and produced by Styler, Celine Rattray and Tempo Productions’ Piers Tempest; Styler is calling the shots from a screenplay by Camille Griffin and Chloe King.

The casting director is Robert Sterne; other HoDs include Dante Spinotti as director of photography, Colleen Atwood as costume designer, Steve Summersgill as production designer, Lizzi Lawson Zeiss as hair and make-up designer, Nathan Nugent and Walter Fasano as editors.

Rose’s Baby follows Álvaro (Banderas) and his ex-wife Saffron (Birthistle) as they attempt to set aside the drama of their messy divorce for the sake of their daughter Rose (Eden Hamilton).

NYC and London-based Maven Screen Media was established in 2020, having been renamed from Maven Pictures that started in 2011; in August 2020, the prodco received investment from the BFI-backed UK Creative Content EIS Fund and moved into TV and digital content production.
