Tom Read Wilson will embark on the European grand tour for a new, three-part travelogue for 5.

The Grand Tour with Tom Read Wilson (w/t) is produced by Honey Bee, fact-ent specialists whose recent credits include Around the World in First Class, and Motion Entertainment.

The show sees the presenter undertake the traditional grand tour of the 17th,18th and 19th centuries, when aristocratic British families sent their offspring around Europe, immersing them in art and history as a cultural rites of passage.

The series was commissioned for 5 by Kit Morey, commissioning editor, unscripted, 5, with Ros Edwards and Ed Taylor as executive producers for Honey Bee. The series is directed by Alex Girardet, produced by Anabel Fairclough and executive produced by Martin Oxley, head of formats and entertainment (UK).
