The Buccaneers renewed for Series 3 at Apple TV+

The first two series filmed largely in Scotland
The Buccaneers has been greenlit for a third series by Apple TV+.
The period drama is produced by The Forge Entertainment, and is inspired by Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel in which a group of affluent and spirited American girls hit the London Season in the 1870s – the Gilded Age – in search of wealthy British husbands.
Series two starred Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag and Imogen Waterhouse as the Buccaneers, with Christina Hendricks, Mia Threapleton and Leighton Meester. It filmed throughout the spring last year, largely in Scotland with a stint in Croatia.
Series creator Katherine Jakeways said: “We couldn’t be more delighted to be lacing up our corsets, slipping on our ball gowns and running breathless across the cliffs of Tintagel for the third time to see what passionate adventures our beloved Buccaneers get up to next.”
Written by series creator Jakeways, season two was directed by William McGregor Rachel Leiterman, John Hardwick and Charlie Manton. Jakeways and Beth Willis serve as executive producers, with Joe Innes joining as an executive producer on season three.
