Sarah-Jane Wright to head UK physical production at Warner Bros.

Wright joins after more than 25 years at Working Title Films
Sarah-Jane Wright has been appointed head of physical production, UK at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Wright joins from more than 25 years at Working Title Films, where she was more recently head of production. During her career, in which she also served as executive producer, Wright has overseen over 75 projects including Billy Elliot, Atonement, Love Actually, The Theory of Everything, Darkest Hour, Shaun of the Dead, Les Misérables, Matilda, Blitz and The Substance.
In her new role, reporting to the Warner Bros. Motion Pictures group president of physical production, Wright will lead the UK physical production team working closely with the Warner Bros. Pictures Group to oversee the planning and execution of all UK-based physical production activities.
This remit will include overall responsibility for production safety and stunts, facilities, foreign government matters, production resources, post-production, VFX and physical-production finance matters in the UK in partnership with the US post-production, VFX and finance leadership.
Warner Bros. Pictures SVP’s of physical production, Jay Rosenwink and Samar Pollitt. will report to Wright and continue to have responsibility for their respective production slates.
Wright is a high-profile figure in the screen industry generally, especially in the mentoring of young creatives: having been a long-time member of ScreenSkills, she recently became chair of its Film Skills Fund Council, and she has played a key role at the London Screen Academy, advocating for change to benefit emerging professionals and supporting the next generation of screen-sector talent.
