Red Planet Pictures options Sarah Pinborough thrillers

Red Planet Pictures is in development with A Matter of Blood, the first novel in Sarah Pinborough’s The Dog-Faced Gods trilogy that the Death in Paradise prodco has optioned.Â

Pinborough is adapting her own work as a six-part drama; she will also exec produce alongside Belinda Campbell, Tom Mullens and Caroline Skinner for Red Planet Pictures.Â

A Matter of Blood – a family saga with a touch of the supernatural – is set in contemporary London and centres on the charismatic DI Cass Jones who is drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse as he tries to catch a serial killer.Â

Executive producer Mullens said: “Sarah is the author of the moment and one of the most prolific and talented fantasy thriller novelists in the world; so we’re over the moon to be working with her as she brings A MATTER OF BLOOD to life with an audaciously bold and brilliant vision.
