Amazon Studios’ action thriller Heads of State is gearing up for a London shoot in a few weeks, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Idris Elba and John Cena. 
 

Director Ilya Naishuller (best known for 2021 film Nobody with Bob Odenkirk) directs from a screenplay by André Nemec and Josh Appelbaum; Harrison Query wrote the original draft.

Peter Safran and John Rickard produce for their LA-based prodcoThe Safran Company, with Elba, Cena and Marcus Viscidi executive producing. 
 

Chopra Jonas has recently been promoting Amazon Studios’ Citadel, a hefty international spy drama that streams on Prime Video from late April. The big-budget production was filmed in the UK and Slovenia in 2021, but the budget swelled further when there was a change of showrunner, resulting in costly reshoots the following year. Earlier this week it was announced that S2 of Citadel had been awarded a tax incentive to film in California. 

In 2020, Chopra Jones signed a first-look television deal with Amazon Studios via her production company Purple Pebble Pictures, which she set up in 2015.
