Prime Focus upgrade in full force

Post-production specialist Prime Focus has left its Dean Street building and moved into its recently upgraded Old Compton Street facility.
Among the redevelopments of the London facility – which provides archive restoration, rushes transfers and film scanning – are a shiny new film centre with additional TK and scanning facilities and a purpose built design, animation and VFX studio.
Managing director Rowan Bray said, “There is a real surge of work at the moment and clients want a one-stop shop that can offer the full range of creative post services alongside the specialist services for which we are so well known. All our services are now available under one roof so our technical and creative offering is significantly enhanced. This will equip us to meet our wide-ranging client’s needs for the foreseeable future.”
As well as London, Prime Focus also has offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Vancouver, Beijing and Mumbai.
The move consolidates Soho’s reputation as the post-production hub of London and follows on from the announcement from movie giant LucasFilm’s plans to set up camp in the buzzing area.
