Online session: Understanding set decorating for film
A ScreenSkills-funded, online session called Understanding set decorating for film is being held on 28 March, for those currently working in the art department for film and HETV drama who wish to move into set decorating.
Â
The Zoom session is free and open to over-18s already working in art departments. It will centre on how the set decorating team collaborates within the art department to deliver the sets; their processes and priorities.Â

Senior assistant set decorator Netty Chapman (Back to Black, Barbie, Cyrano) will be talking about her role and how she works alongside the set decorator and other members of the art department. Chapman has more than 23 years’ experience in the art and set decorating departments on feature and TV drama productions, across a wide range of budgets, genres and locations.Â
Â
This session is supported by ScreenSkills as part of the BFI Future Film Skills programme using funds from the National Lottery.Â
