The supernatural thriller is underway in London and East Sussex locations

Production began this week, 3 November, on Banquet, a supernatural thriller starring Meghann Fahy, with filming taking place across multiple locations in London and East Sussex.

Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia is in the director’s chair, working from a screenplay by Sam Steiner. The feature is produced by Tea Shop Productions, with James Harris serving as producer, and executive producers David Yates and Florian Zeller also on board.

Fahy, known for her role in The White Lotus, leads the cast; as reported by Variety, Corey Mylchreest and Alfie Williams have joined the project in supporting roles.

The film centres on a woman whose seemingly-perfect life unravels following the return of her estranged son, exposing a dark family secret.

Banquet marks Gaztelu-Urrutia’s latest feature, following the Spaniard’s English-language debut with 2024 sci-fi thriller Rich Flu.

Tea Shop Productions, based in London and established in 2010, has a busy slate that includes the biographical sports drama Giant, about boxer Prince Naseem Hamed, played by Egyptian-British actor Amir El Masry. Pierce Brosnan stars as his Irish boxing trainer.

The film will open the Red Sea Film Festival on 4 December and was also featured at the London Film Festival this year.
