Filming begins next month on Mum, a new comedy from Big Talk Productions for BBC Two starring Lesley Manville and Peter Mullan.

The 6 x 30 stars Manville in the title role, a woman in her late 50s rebuilding her life following the death of her husband.

The show reunites the creative team behind the BAFTA-winning Him & Her – writer/executive producer Stefan Golaszewski, director Richard Laxton, producer Lyndsay Robinson and executive producer Kenton Allen.
