Keira Knightley films Netflix’s The Woman in Cabin 10 in the UK
Film crews and a luxury yacht have been spotted in the area of Portland Port on the south coast.
Production began this week (w/c 23 September) on Netflix thriller The Woman in Cabin 10 starring Keira Knightley.
Originally planned as an overseas shoot, the production is now filming on location in the UK, with local news outlet The Dorset Echo reporting a Netflix shoot getting underway on a luxury yacht off the coast of Portland.
Director Simon Stone is calling the shots from scripts he wrote with Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse, adapted from the novel by Ruth Ware. The plot centres on a journalist (Knightley) who witnesses a person being thrown overboard from a luxury yacht at night, but she is then told it couldn’t have happened as all crew and passengers are accounted for.
A starry supporting cast is also on board (ahem), including Guy Pearce, Hannah Waddingham, David Ajala, Art Malik, Daniel Ings, David Morrissey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Gitte Witt, Paul Kaye, Kaya Scodelario, Lisa Loven Kongsli and Christopher Rygh.
Knightley finished filming spy thriller Black Doves earlier this year, also for Netflix, that has a second series already greenlit for production in 2025.
