Joanne Froggatt’s Starfish to film early 2016
Early 2016 is the anticipated start date for filming on Starfish, which sees Golden Globe-winning Joanne Froggatt as both lead actor and producer. ÂÂ
Starfish is a feature film about a married couple, Tom and Nicola, whose relationship is pushed to the edge by the ramifications of Tom’s rare and terrible virus.
CrossDay Productions is the company behind the production, which is directed by Bill Clark from his own screenplay. Froggatt is joined on the producer team by CrossDay’s Pippa Cross, casting director Ros Hubbard of What’s the Story and Origami Films‘ Mel Paton. CrossDay have plenty bubbling at the moment: also eyeing a 2016 shoot is their new big screen adaptation of Henry Fielding’s classic novel Tom Jones.

Froggatt has recently completed filming Dark Angel, World Productions‘ period drama for ITV about Victorian poisoner Mary Ann Cotton which used north Yorkshire and County Durham locations.
