A feature film adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson”s Four Children and It is in the pipeline, with shooting anticipated to get underway later this year.

The film is called Four Kids and It, and currently has Michael Caine lined up to star.

The story is based on Wilson”s book – itself a reimagining of E Nesbit”s 1902 classic, Five Children and It – and centres on a blended family getting to know each other during a holiday in Cornwall. Nesbit”s magic, wish-granting creation that lives in the sand, the grumpy Psammead, once again plays a major role in the adventures that ensue.
