Is Charlie Hunnam heading for Camelot?
Charlie Hunnam, currently best known for his starring role in US TV hit Sons of Anarchy, appears to be making the leap from biking to jousting as he is reportedly hot favourite to play King Arthur in Guy Ritchie‘s forthcoming feature, Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.ÂÂ
Ritchie has been working on the film for some time, and it has been billed as the first in a potential six-movie deal about the legendary king and his court.
Hollywood giants Warner Bros. are behind the film, which is due to be setting up in the UK later this year. Joby Harold, who wrote the screenplay, produces with Akiva Goldsman for Weed Road; while Tory Tunnel produces for Safehouse Pictures. Ritchie is also on board as a producer as is his regular collbaorator Lionel Wigram.
If various recent reports turn out to be correct, it’s turning out to be quite a line-up, with Idris Elba being touted as mentor Bevidere and Elizabeth Olsen lined up as the female lead in the movie.
