Death in Paradise star Ben Miller is set to star as a distressed spouse in new BBC comedy I Want My Wife Back.

Produced by Busby Productions and Mainstreet Pictures, the show follows Murray (Miller) as he tries to get his personal/work life on track after his wife decides to up and leave on her 40th birthday. The show then looks at how he comes to terms with what has happened and his attempts to get his wife back.

Writers Mark Bussell and Justin Sbresni (The Worst Week of My Life) said of the new project: “We’ve hugely enjoyed developing this project with Mainstreet and the BBC and are looking forward to consciously recoupling with Ben Miller.”
