Happy Valley 2 readies for late summer shoot
The second series of Happy Valley is readying for principal photography to get underway towards the end of the summer.Â
The police drama from Red Production Company and writer Sally Wainwright made its debut on BBC One just over a year ago, starring Sarah Lancashire as police sergeant Catherine Cawood. The series was lauded by the critics, and went on to win several high profile gongs including BAFTAs for Best Drama Series and Best Writer, Drama.Â
The second run will once again be filming in the north west; subscribers to Production Intelligence will know that we have already detailed the producer, line producer and casting director. Now you can also find shoot dates along with the names of the production co-ordinator and production designer. Â
The prolific shingle has been busy as ever, with production still underway on Harlan Coben’s first original TV drama, The Five, and the second series of Prey starring Philip Glenister.Â
