Hampstead shoot for Keaton and Gleeson
Diane Keaton and Brendan Gleeson are set to star in Hampstead, a new feature film from Last Chance Harvey and The Love Punch director Joel Hopkins.
As with Last Chance Harvey, the film is set in London, around the eponymous leafy suburb in north London. Keaton plays an American widow living on the edge of the heath who discovers a run down hut, inhabited by an unkempt man, Donald Horner (Gleeson), who is fighting developers.
Hopkins is calling the shots from a screenplay – inspired by real events – by Robert Festinger. Ecosse Films (A Royal Night Out etc) is the shingle behind the project, which is anticipated to shoot next spring if all goes to plan.
Subscribers to PI can follow Hampstead from 22 October, as we will update with crucial hires as they come on board.
