Filming underway on new series of Strike
Strike, The Ink Black Heart – the sixth instalment of the detective drama – has begun filming.
As first confirmed on Production Intelligence, shooting began yesterday, 12 February, on the series that stars Tom Burke as Cormoran Strike and Holliday Grainger as his business partner Robin Ellacott.
The series is based on the books by Robert Galbraith, the pseudonym used by JK Rowling for the series of novels, and is produced by Bronte Film and Television; Tom Edge adapts.
The fifteen episodes produced to date have been adapted from The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm, Career of Evil, Lethal White and Troubled Blood.
The Ink Black Heart centres on a murder case – the murder of Edie Ledwell who had come to the private detectives’ office just days before her death, begging for help. When her body is found in Highgate Cemetery, having been tasered, Strike and Ellacott become dragged into a dangerous world of online hidden identities and family conflicts.
